No Film Shoots in Tamil Nadu on September 10 due to Nadigar Sangam’s Annual Meeting

On September 10, the bustling film sets of Tamil Nadu will fall silent, and cameras will remain idle. The reason? The 67th Annual Council Meeting of the South Indian Artistes Association, famously known as Nadigar Sangam, is set to take centre stage. This significant event has prompted other film industry associations to hit the pause button on their activities for the day.
Scheduled to be held at the prestigious Kamarrajar Arangam, the meeting is expected to kick off at 10 a.m.
The highlights of the meeting will be the presentation of the annual report for the year 2022-2023 by Mr Karunas, the Vice President of Nadigar Sangam. Treasurer Mr Karthi outlined the association’s economic plans for the future. General Secretary Mr. Vishal will take the opportunity to detail the association’s upcoming welfare programs. These initiatives play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to actors and their families, reinforcing the association’s commitment to the well-being of its members. The meeting will culminate with a vote of thanks from Vice President Poochy Murgan, acknowledging the contributions and participation of all attendees.
As the film industry in Tamil Nadu takes a brief hiatus to allow its members to participate in this significant event, it reflects the importance of Nadigar Sangam and its role in shaping the destiny of the South Indian film fraternity. The decisions made and discussions held during this meeting will undoubtedly have a far-reaching impact on the industry’s future, ensuring its continued growth and prosperity.
