Mahaan Review 

Mahaan, the recent Amazon prime release, written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is one of his best works. The film stars Vikram, Simran, Dhruv Vikram, and Bobby Simha in the lead. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

The film is a tale of a school teacher who bearly manages to earn the money to fulfill his family’s daily requirements and then in a turn of events becomes a gangster who enjoys his life lavishly. The personal conflict of the main character who tries to break free from his family’s expectation for him to be a great and disciplined man will have us captivated and draw us into the story. The film has the Karthik Subbaraj vibe that gives a fresh look to the film. The film has strong pacing in the first half but does suffer a bit in the second half after Dhruv is introduced. 

Technical the film is strong and the music is memorable. A must-watch if you have Amazon prime subscription.
