Maaran Review 

Maaran feels like technically and story-wise is a decade back. An Uninteresting story with, Boring Screenplay, and Naren is wasting his potential as a director. Malavika Maohanan being cast makes no sense. Should have taken a heroine who speaks fluent Tamil instead of giving chewing gum to cover her dubbing mouth sync. This feels like a youtube short film. The villain has no presence and what was shown makes him seem like a very weak character. And not to mention the bad editing. Karthik should take a long break and think about how to make an actual feature film. He still seems to have a youtube level short film mentality. One of the worst Dhanush movies ever and is hardly watchable. It was really difficult to watch for more than an hour and I personally only managed to finish it for the review. unwanted fights and songs that mess up the pacing. The runtime is only 2h 10m but felt like 3 hrs they could’ve trimmed more than 30-40 mins of the movie. The performance of a strong cast felt lackluster. The emotions don’t work. the potential of the cast and crew and our time will be wasted watching such a movie.
