The closure marks the end of a venture that launched in 2022 to offer plant-based alternatives to traditional fast food. The menu featured items like burgers, chicken sandwiches, shakes, and tots, all made from plant-based ingredients, catering to the growing demand for vegan options.

Hart House’s closure comes as a surprise, given its initial success. The chain was built on the idea of providing healthier fast-food choices while also redesigning the labor model with better wages and employee benefits.
