Kalki 2898 AD Collects ₹95 Crore in India, Breaks Records in just Day 1 

The much-awaited film Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has set a new record in Indian cinema with a staggering ₹95 crore collection on its opening day, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this dystopian sci-fi spectacle has become the biggest Indian opener ever.

On its first day, Kalki 2898 AD collected ₹95 crore across all languages in India:

– ₹64.5 crore nett in Telugu

– ₹4 crore nett in Tamil

– ₹24 crore nett in Hindi

– ₹2.2 crore in Malayalam

The film also saw 85.15 percent occupancy in Telugu theatres on Thursday.

Kalki 2898 AD tells the story of Bhairava, a bounty hunter aiming to create a life for himself in the Complex. The plot intertwines with Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) and SU-M80 (Deepika Padukone), with Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin. Cameos by Mrunal Thakur, Anna Ben, Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Brahmanandam add to the star power.
