Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: Kamal Haasan’s Film Faces Further Decline, Earning Just Over ₹1 Crore 

Indian 2, one of the most eagerly anticipated Tamil films of the year, has been facing a steady decline in its box office earnings. Directed by S Shankar and featuring Kamal Haasan, the vigilante film has seen its collections drop significantly. As of the eighth day, the film managed to earn just over ₹1 crore, bringing its total collection in India to nearly ₹72 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.

Indian 2 marks the reunion of two cinematic giants—Kamal Haasan and director S Shankar—after 28 years. The film is a sequel to the 1996 cult classic, Indian, and continues the story of Senapathy, affectionately known as ‘Indian Thatha’ by fans. Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, a vigilante fighting corruption using the ancient Indian martial art, varma kalai. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S J Suryah, Bobby Simha, Gulshan Grover, and the late Nedumudi Venu. Indian 2 is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
