During a recent press meet, actor Vijay Deverakonda joined virtually to address claims that his brother Anand was mimicking his voice. Vijay revealed that they have always sounded alike, using it for pranks in the past. “We realized we had similar voices when our mother couldn’t tell us apart. Anand would often pretend to be me while talking to others,” Vijay shared, adding that Anand even dubbed for him in a film once, sparking fans’ curiosity about which film it was.
Anand expressed concerns about the negative culture in Tollywood, where constant comparisons between actors overshadow the celebration of cinema. He stressed that while competition can be positive, excessive comparisons focus too much on looks and box office numbers.
Anand’s upcoming film *Gam Gam Ganesha*, directed by Uday Shetty and co-starring Pragathi Srivastava, is set to release on May 31. He is also working on *Duet*. Vijay, meanwhile, has three upcoming projects with directors Gowtam Tinnanuri, Rahul Sankrityan, and Ravi Kiran Kola.
