Nira – A short tale of life, love, heartbreaks and rigid conclusions

What’s the purest form of love? Confined to the pre-existing discipline of sheer possessiveness or letting go of the ones, who have broken the vows? Who’s good and bad? When Love is beyond truth and lies, good and evil, it doesn’t stick to the concept of hero and baddie. In fact, it’s life and situation that becomes the protagonist and antagonist, which makes the individuals choose their way. Nira, the short film is a staunch depiction of such a scenario, where three characters are inclined to its needs.

Laced with intense emotions, the short film delves into three characters, who are encompassed by love from different perspectives. Nira, the short feature with a running length of 19 minutes, is written & directed by Dinesh Prasadh, and is produced by Mirror Mind Production. The movie features Maathevan in the lead role with Shali Nivekas & Ashika Yash as the female lead characters.

While the narrative aspect is filled with emotions, hard-hitting dialogues, and strong characters, the technical domain touches the pinnacle of the finest caliber. Nira is the first-of-its-kind short film made with Dolby ATMOS and is now available on YouTube with a 5.1 Surround option.

The technical crew includes Mourish Booshan (Cinematography), Siva Sundar Nandhakumar (Editing), Arish (Music), Vasanth S. Karthik (DI-Colorist), Hari Prasad_Pebbles (SFX, Sound Design & Mixing), E.K Varman, Hadhi Abu Hanifa, Eashwar Pillai, Akash Shaji, Ganesh Balaji (Direction Team), Hafeez (Art Direction), Varsha Nithyanandham (Wardrobe Stylist), The Whackostudio (Postproduction), NXT Genstudio, Ranjith (Publicity Design), Basith Syed (Motion Graphics), Mugundhan (Subtitles), and Sai Narean, Adhithya R Meghanathan (Production Executive).
